Over the past weeks, it’s been amazing studying God’s Word to explain the true meaning of the phrase “Hear, O Israel.” From Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Romans 10:17, and a few other Bible verses, we’ve seen how the phrase answers some of the most common questions about effective evangelism today. In this article, we’ll be taking it up from there to answer the question, “Why is the Hear O Israel prayer important to Jewish people?” What Does…
Hear O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! (Deuteronomy 6:4) In the last article, we looked at Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, focusing on Romans 10, where he explained why believers should be committed to evangelism. Our key verse was verse 17, which says, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” In this article, we will examine another statement made by Moses in Deuteronomy…
David is known to be many things in the Old Testament – a shepherd boy, warrior, and king. Like the rest of us, he had his weaknesses and failed God many times. But an undeniable fact is that his life is one of Scripture’s most profound examples of what it is like to pursue God and live a life of faith (II Samuel 7:18-29, I Chronicles 14:10). He exemplified humility and reverence for God. What…
Over the past few months, we’ve been considering the use of 21st Century tools in evangelism. We started with social media and explored in detail how to take advantage of its capabilities to reach the unsaved through articles and infographics. I’m full of joy to see many believers add this digital provision to their evangelistic toolkit. Afterward, we began a series on the use of Israel music videos. It’s been a while since we started…
I was thinking about our ongoing series on the use of Israel music videos in evangelism when Romans 11:26 popped up in my mind. Immediately, I flipped my Bible open to that verse, and it was really inspiring to see again that God is committed to Israel’s salvation. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” (Romans…
The Gospel is for everyone. Yeshua’s commandment about the Great Commission was clear: “Go into ALL THE WORLD” (Mark 16:15), “Go therefore and make disciples of ALL NATIONS” (Matthew 28:19). The epistles of the Apostles affirmed the same truth (I Timothy 2:4; II Peter 3:9). But talking about preaching the Gospel in Romans 1:16, Paul said, “To the Jews first and then to the Gentiles.” That brings a couple of questions to mind. First, what…
In our previous post, we looked at King David’s Psalms – the inspiration behind them and how they point to redemption. From Psalm 16, we saw how King David prophesied about the Messiah’s resurrection and, glory to God, Yeshua fulfilled every detail of that prophecy! In this second part of our series on the use of Israel music videos in evangelism, we’ll be learning from Psalm 32 – another Spirit-inspired song by King David. This…
Yeshua, before His ascension, left His disciples the mandate to preach the Gospel to everyone (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18). From Luke’s account of the early church’s events in Acts, we see how they went from place to place, fulfilling that commission. The first four chapters of Acts recounts how the disciples’ outreach in Jerusalem alone had produced up to 8,000 converts (Acts 2:41; Acts 4:4). Praise God for such a great harvest of souls! Personally,…
Every believer has been called to preach the Gospel (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20). God recruited us into His workforce the day we accepted Yeshua as our Savior (II Corinthians 5:17-20). However, with the unwelcoming attitude of many Israelis in regards to faith in Yeshua, we need to trust God for creative ideas to reach them. I mean spirit-inspired strategies of sharing the unadulterated truth of the Word. As one of the creative media ministries focused…
Over the years, quite a lot has been said about the need for every believer to take part in evangelism. Yeshua saved us from the sting of sin and death and left us the mandate to share that good news with others. Praise God, believers in Israel are becoming more concerned about this divine commission. It gladdens my heart seeing fellow Israelis and great commission media ministries become more intent about putting out the Word…
